![]() ![]() GUARANTEED not to void your manufacturer’s warranty.Hot Shot’s Secret® oils maintain their performance for longer periods, extending oil change intervals and reducing overall maintenance costs. The infusion of FR3® also helps prevent premature engine failure by minimizing wear and tear on vital components, such as pistons, bearings, and camshafts.īy incorporating FR3® into our oils, we offer a superior product that extends the lifespan of engines and other oil-lubricated components, minimizes maintenance requirements and ensures peak performance and reliability. This results in reduced friction, lower operating temperatures, and improved fuel efficiency. Oils with this advanced friction-reducing technology provide superior lubrication, creating a protective barrier between metal surfaces and reducing metal-to-metal contact. FR3 Friction Reducer® is specifically designed to reduce friction and minimize wear within an engine’s moving parts. Your oil will stay cleaner longer, protect against deposit formation and shearing and will provide an increase in horsepower and fuel economy up to 3% each.īlack Diamond Outlaw is not intended for vehicles with diesel particulate filters (DPF), catalytic converters, EGR or other emission equipment as damage to these systems could occur because of their low tolerances to zinc.Īt Hot Shot’s Secret®, we infuse our oils with FR3 Friction Reducer® due to its exceptional performance-enhancing properties. With nearly 3X the amount of zinc mandated by API for the CK-4 specification, wear protection will never be an issue. The harder you run your diesel, the more protection you need, and Black Diamond Outlaw offers just that. This means Black Diamond Outlaw provides you with unmatched protection and performance compared to other oils on the market. Not only is it 100% PAO synthetic, it also includes a robust Total Base Number (TBN) of 14, extreme-pressure additives (including zinc) and it is blended with our patented FR3 Nano Technology and additional CK-4 additive. By that 10th dyno pull in a row, it's not happy.Hot Shot’s Secret Black Diamond Outlaw Oil is the most complete diesel oil available. ![]() I've seen a 600 hp engine lose 30+ hp just from heat soaking. "Picked up 20+ hp after adding our friction reducing product." What they neglected to tell you is the first dyno pull was done on 20w-50 with a quart extra in the pan, and the second run, with the additive, was done on 0w-20 at a quart low and 50Â☏ lower coolant and intake temps. its no longer sold) but years ago, they ran a dyno test on a ~500 hp 383ci small block Chevy and showed a 20+ hp increase with their additive. I can't remember which additive it was (frustrating me. Just playing devil's advocate here, but what were the dyno numbers before the FR3, and what were they WITH the FR3? Was the 14 HP difference greater than the statistical noise would potentially cause? Run two dyno runs on the same engine without changing lubes, 5 minutes apart, and you could realistically get a 14HP difference if the base HP was high enough. FR3 on the dyno had a 14 horse power increase (reduced friction). I am going to try the FR3 as it reduces friction and the EDT in place of the Diesel Kleen just to see if I will notice a difference. Then you could post a response based on something other than sitting in a chair typing on this blog and about something with no knowledge. ![]() I am going to try Hot Shot Secret EDT as soon as I finish the Diesel Kleen. I used Diesel Kleen in my 20 Cummins and it DID make a positive difference in the way the engine ran. Hot Shot Secret has Dyno test, etc on you tube on their FR3 product and quite a few testimonials on YouTube of people who have actually tried some of their products. Really funny how people who have not tried something down the question the most. That's a popular opinion here on BITOG, often expressed in additive discussions.Ĭonsidering the always subjective nature of the manufacturer's claims for the products I'd be inclined to agree. From what I've read of the responses, no one has tried it, so their opinions are of little value. ![]()
